Lakeland Downtown Farmers Curb Market – Be sure to visit the Market where we strive to bring the community together and support small business with local, handmade, homegrown, and wholesome produce, plants, artisan gifts, pastries, breads, specialty foods, and more! Enjoy live entertainment most Saturdays. Text CURB to 51660 for updates and a chance to win $10 in Market Bucks each week. Located on the 200 & 300 blocks of N Kentucky Ave, stretching from the train tracks north to Oak Street. Open 8a until 2p every Saturday. Closed in August. First Friday – One of the most popular recurring events in Lakeland! Every month visitors from all over the community travel Downtown for an evening of free, family-friendly entertainment, activities, live music, art receptions, a car show, and, of course, the chance to check out great, locally-owned restaurants and retail establishments. Each month has a different theme, and special activities are provided to complement the theme. Streets are closed to vehicles and filled with exhibiting businesses from around the city. First Fridays are from 6-9p each first Friday of the month. Upcoming dates in 2018 and 2019 are August 3, September 7, October 5, November 2, December 7, January 4, and February 1.
Girls Night Out – A fun evening geared toward ladies hosted by the merchants in Downtown Lakeland. Various shops, salons, spas, and restaurants will have special demonstrations, giveaways, discounts, and goodies. There will be live music on the streets, chances to win gift cards, free valet with purchases of $25 or more, and childcare options! Our next event is Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5pm-8:30pm. Downtown Date Night – Bring your partner for a romantic stroll around Downtown Lakeland. Various shops, salons, and spas will have giveaways, discounts, and goodies. The next event is Friday, July 27, 5pm-8pm.

Holiday Festivities – Enjoy Burnetti PA’s Hometown Holiday on First Friday, December 7. Keep the fun going December 14 and 21 with Holiday Walkabouts. Get your pictures taken with Santa and soak in the traditions in Downtown Lakeland with hay rides, carols, and other holiday festivities.

Thursday Squared Food Truck Rally – Mark your calendars for the second Thursday of each month from 6p-9p around Munn Park. Sample fare from more than two dozen food trucks from around Central Florida offering Southern classics, BBQ, Thai Food, Seafood, Ice Cream, Deserts, and more!
August 18-19 – Fine Art at the Magnolia – A new rising invitational fine art show held annually in August in Lakeland. Showcasing 17 accomplished artists from across the state in a stunningly beautiful, 2-day fine art show held inside the lovely historic Magnolia Building, 702 East Orange Street, in Downtown Lakeland’s garden and theater district.
September 22 – Swantoberfest – The Suncoast Credit Union SwantoberFest is a time to unwind and make new friends, learn new customs and sing a few songs. Activities include German-style competitions, a treasure hunt, and live music by The Europa Band. September 29 – Plantae Orchidium – Please join us for an orchid sale with legendary RF Orchids, one of the great orchid nurseries—not only in Florida, but around the world. R.F. Orchids has also been mentioned in Time Magazine, National Geographic, the New York Times, Southern Living, Casa y Estilo, and many local and regional newspapers and magazines. October 19-21 – Midflorida Auto Show and Lake Mirror Concours – A wonderful display of more than 650 show vehicles surrounding the restored 1920s art deco inspired France Langford Promenade in Downtown Lakeland. The car show extends throughout Downtown streets. October 27 – 34th Annual Fall Garden Extravaganza – This event is hosted by the Garden Club of Lakeland, Inc. Free fun for all ages. More than 40 plant and flower vendors, drawings, giveaways, and raffles. Ask the experts information and plant clinic. Food vendors and more! October 27 – 22nd Annual Hispanic Festival of Lakeland – Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month and raise money for charities and scholarships at the Club Hispano de Lakeland’s event at the Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror. October – Rocky Horror Picture Show Experience – Enjoy this legendary event at an equally legendary location. Come at 9p for the pre-show and music. The movie, with accompanying choreography, starts at midnight. It’s an R-rated movie, so people 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent. Costumes are encouraged! Polktheatre.org

November 10 – Red Ribbon Run – Billed by race organizers as the only half marathon and fun run in Florida’s Polk County, the all-new InnerAct Alliance Red Ribbon Half Marathon & Fun Run makes its 6th annual running along a course with plenty of rolling hills, which starts and finishes near downtown Lakeland, along the shoreline of Lake Mirror. November 10 – Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony – Starts at the Veterans Memorial Park near Lake Beulah at about 10a. The parade then kicks off at the RP Funding Center and winds through Downtown Lakeland. It’s a great opportunity to support our veterans. (Free, 10a-12p)
