Street Parking Rules
- Your free 2 hours start when you park and keep running if you leave. One free session per car per day, anywhere Downtown; after that, pay with ParkMobile.
- Parking tickets are $25. Time limits apply weekdays 9am to 5pm.
Can I move to another space and get 2 more hours free?
No. The free time is one session from when you first park, even if you change spaces or zones.
I paid at a pay station. Can I add time from my phone?
Yes. Use ParkMobile with the zone number for that lot or garage.
Can I use ParkMobile without a smartphone?
Yes. Sign up first, then call 877.727.5714 to start or add time.
Can I pay for a friend’s car?
Yes. A ParkMobile account holds up to five plates; choose theirs when you pay.
How do I appeal a parking ticket?
Through the City of Lakeland’s online Parking Portal, within 21 days of the ticket.
Event Days
First Friday
Streets in the event are closed, so park to the north: the Oak Street Lot (Directions in Google Maps) and the Trinity Church Lot (Directions in Google Maps) are close. City lots and garages are free after 5pm, and The Squeeze runs all evening. Private lots with blue signs are never free.
Farmers Curb Market
Saturdays, so every City space is free. Closest to the Market: the Oak Street Lot (Directions in Google Maps), the Main Street Garage (Directions in Google Maps) and the Heritage Plaza Garage (Directions in Google Maps).
Tasty Tuesday
Catapult’s lot (Directions in Google Maps) is for its members until 5pm, then open to Tasty Tuesday guests. The Main Street Garage (Directions in Google Maps) is free from 3pm.
Accessible Parking and Veterans
- Accessible spaces in City lots and garages are free, with no time limit.
- With an accessible plate or placard, or a disabled veteran plate, park free all day in any street space, and get double the posted time in short-term spaces.
- Purple Heart, Combat Wounded and Disabled Veteran plates park free all day in any public metered space.
For Downtown Businesses
- Free employee parking: register your service industry staff (restaurants, shops, salons, hospitality and more) for the City’s Downtown Service Industry Employee Parking Program at the S. Tennessee Lot (Directions in Google Maps).
- Monthly permits: $100 a month, from the City’s Parking Services Office in the Main Street Garage (Directions in Google Maps).
- Cover your customers’ parking: buy ParkMobile promo codes in any amount to give them.
