Weather Update: The Prize Egg Hunt and Easter Bunny Photos have been officially rescheduled for Saturday, April 16 at the Farmers Market. The general First Friday event is still happening tonight. The streets will be closed off with exhibitors and vendors in the street.
Our next First Friday event will take place on April 1, 2022 from 6pm to 9pm in Downtown Lakeland. The theme is Spring Fling! Enjoy a “prize egg hunt” throughout the First Friday footprint. Take a picture with the Easter Bunny in Munn Park ($5 per photo).
Want to know more about the Prize Egg Hunt? You can find the plastic eggs hidden on the Lemon Street Promenade, up and down Kentucky Ave. between Lemon St. and Oak St., and in Munn Park during the event beginning at 6pm (first come, first served). The multicolor eggs (approximate quantity of 2,000 spread throughout event) will contain candy and small toys. The golden eggs (approximate quantity of 200 spread throughout the event) will contain certificates for small prizes (gift cards and other small items valued at $5-$15) redeemable with specific Downtown Merchants, First Friday Exhibitors, and Farmers Market vendors. Some prizes must be redeemed on the night of the event, while others can or must be redeemed at a later date. (Details will be provided on the prize certificates.)
Downtown shops and restaurants will be open late. Don’t miss the Makers Market, featuring local artists and creators, on North Kentucky Avenue and the Classy Car Show 5:30-8pm (REGISTRATION REQUIRED) on Main St. and Tennessee Ave. Streets are closed to vehicles, so come prepared to walk about!
