Accessibility
Everyone is welcome at LDDA events and on this website.
At Our Events
We want people of all abilities to enjoy First Friday, the Downtown Farmers Curb Market and every LDDA event.
-
Accessible Parking
Marked spaces in public lots and parking areas throughout Downtown, first come, first served, with a valid permit or plate. Street closures change from event to event, so arrive early for the closest spot.
-
Accessible Restrooms
ADA-compliant portable restrooms throughout each event. Event staff can point you to the nearest one.
-
Accessible Routes
Event layouts keep sidewalks, crosswalks and public spaces open for wheelchairs and mobility devices wherever possible, with booths, stages and activity areas arranged with access in mind.
-
Service Animals
Welcome at all LDDA events under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Owners are responsible for their care and supervision.
Request an Accommodation
Please contact us before the event when you can; advance notice helps us meet your needs. On the day, LDDA staff and event personnel can help with accessibility information or assistance. Accommodations may vary with the location and nature of each event.
This Website
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, screen magnification, voice control or only a keyboard. It is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard the U.S. Department of Justice set for state and local government websites. Before changes go live, every page is checked:
- With automated accessibility tests
- By hand, using only a keyboard
- Zoomed in, and on phone-sized screens
Some documents linked from this site, such as older board meeting packets, were created before it and may not be fully accessible. If you need anything here in another format, or have trouble using any part of the site, call us and we’ll provide it another way.
