The Downtown Lakeland Holiday Banner Project invites Middle and High school students artists from all over Polk County to turn their imagination into a citywide display of holiday spirit.
Participants will create a one-of-a-kind, double sided, banner that will be hung along the streets of Downtown Lakeland, adding color, creativity, and cheer to this Holiday season. This unique opportunity lets you see your artwork come to life in a big way. We will even be holding an auction for the banners at the LDDA’s Saturday Farmers Curb Market in January 2027! So you can show, discuss and even sell your work.
PROJECT DETAILS:
Banner Size: 18” W x 43” H
Applications: June 1, 2026 – September 15th, 2026
Deadline to turn in you banner: 11/14/2026
Display Timeline: Mid November – Early January Materials:
• Banners are supplied, hand prepped for painting and sealed to be weather proofed by the LDDA staff.
• Artists are responsible for the cost and supply of their own art materials.
• Oil paint will NOT be accepted.
