Event FAQs

How do I become a vendor at First Fridays?

Every month, Downtown Lakeland shuts down the streets for our First Friday events. Thousands of visitors every month enjoy a Classy Car Show, a Makers Market with crafters and artisans, and over 100 First Friday Exhibitors with goodies, giveaways, and special deals. However, our themes change from month to month, and sometimes we have special sponsors or special activities in Munn Park. Business exhibitors are encouraged to set up exhibits and host games and other interactive features to attract people to their booth where you can provide information about your product or service, give away samples, and take contact information.

FIRSY FRIDAY AREAS:
Regular and Premium Exhibitor Space
Business Exhibitors are located along Kentucky Ave from Lemon Street to the railroad tracks and sometimes Main Street.  A Business Exhibitor is any business or organization or non-profit or church. These exhibitors are not allowed to sell items and are limited to marketing their business from the confines of their 10×10 space. Think of this section of the event as a businesses trade show.  To become a First Friday exhibitor, click here.

Makers Market
Makers Market Vendors are individuals who make their own goods, who do not have a retail store front, and can typically be found at street markets and craft shows, etc.  The Vendors are allowed to sell their products. To become a Makers Market vendor, click here.

Not for Profits/Multi-Level Marketers
The Makers Market has multiple zones with various pricing.  However,  ZONE 6 (from Bay St to Oak St) is the only area of the First Friday event where we allow multi-level marketers ( such as Paparrazi Jewelry or Pampered Chef or Avon, etc. ). ZONE 6 also has a limited number of FREE spaces reserved each month for non-for profits who have no budget to purchase space in the Business Exhibitor area.

Classy Car Show
The First Friday Car Show is located along Tennessee Ave ( and sometimes Main Street) and requires registration to participate. There is not fee, however we do not allow cars to just show up without registration. Please see this link to learn more and register. A one -time Registration is REQUIRED for the Classy Car Show. You MUST complete this form to participate: click here.
