Join us on May 3 from 6pm to 9pm for our next First Friday event: Tres de Mayo! It’s just like Cinco de Mayo–but two days early! Eat, drink and dance in Munn Park in celebration of the holiday. Enjoy a performance by Mi Escuela Montessori at 6pm. Just Dance Academy will be providing DJing and dance lessons in Munn Park at 6:30, 7:15, and 8pm. Play with a blow up pinata from Lakeland Moonwalk.

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, adults can enjoy an adult beverage “to go” while walking around the event.

  • Play It Forward Polk will be selling margaritas on the corner of Main St. and Kentucky Ave. near the entrance to Munn Park.
  • Lugo’s Craft Spirits will be selling rum craft cocktails on Main St.
  • Molly McHugh’s will be selling drinks on S. Kentucky Ave. in front of their pub.
  • Revival will be selling drinks on S. Kentucky near their bar.
  • Fresco’s will have their Boozy Traveler Mobile Bar in front of the restaurant and will be selling to-go cocktails, including strawberry margaritas.  They will also be selling walking tacos.
  • Chop Shop will be selling Tiki Bar drinks in front of their store on S. Kentucky Ave.
  • Mojo Federal will be selling pork sliders with baked beans, as well as margaritas, from their space on N. Kentucky Ave.
  • The Back Nine will be selling Al Pastor Tacos, Margaritas, and Palomas from their space on Main St.
  • Rec Room will be offering an assortment of flavored Margaritas for $7 (Prickly Pear, Mango, and Strawberry) at their establishment.

More Merchant Specials:

  • Bedrock Wings will be selling chicken wings for $1.50/wing in front of their restaurant on S. Kentucky Ave.
  • Teriyaki Madness will be selling chicken teriyaki or spicy teriyaki and white rice with or without veggies for $5.00 in front of their restaurant north of Bay St. for a quick and delicious bite.
  • The Cultivated Pig will be selling $5 Brisket Tacos, $4 pork belly tacos, and $3 House Margaritas at their restaurant located at Catapult. They will also be set up on Main St. selling smoked Chicken Burritos and Brisket Burritos, all served with a choice of rice, beans, cheese, and red or green salsa.

Downtown shops and restaurants will be open late. Don’t miss the Makers Market, featuring local artists and creators, on North Kentucky Avenue, Food Trucks on Pine St., and the Classy Car Show on Tennessee Ave. Streets are closed to vehicles, so come prepared to walk about!

First Friday is a family-friendly event held in the streets of Downtown Lakeland between Lemon Street and Oak Street along Kentucky and Tennessee Avenues. On-street parking begins to close in the event area at 3pm to allow us to clear the streets and set up the exhibitors and vendors. Parking in all permitted and metered locations is free after 5pm and all day on the weekends. Event parking is limited, so please carpool with friends and neighbors!
